| | I am blown away. I have only just noticed the thread you guys had going about trying to get a lap top to me,as you may be aware i am now back home and once again have access to the internet. However i just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who was thinking of me.To be honest this is the most kindness i have ever experienced in my life, and it has given me a renewed faith in human kindness.I am a philanthropist and a bit of an old hippy at heart although i dont have the hair anymore, but i am still a peace loving person who likes to help others when i can.So thank you all for warming my heart and helping me with my recovery.I would prefer not to discuss my illness too much as i am not looking for sympathy on here,so lets talk jazz.(Cue music).Peace. |

Life is the greatest show on earth, it's rich, complex and breath taking especially if you can share the magic. Welcome back.
Enough of the soft talk.

But it knocked me for six when I heard it, glad you like it too ginger. Happy to have you back at the old forum too. |

| | Oh yes,the other Emily Remler albums will be next on my cd list. She is every bit as good as any jazz guitarist i have ever heard.I keep on listening to her lessons on the remembering emily site, every time i listen i pick up on something new.I wish she could have lived longer, she would have had so much more to give us.Very sad indeed. |

| | Yes, and when you consider her young age when she made that album... the effortless command and depth her playing has is amazing - it kind of leaps out of the speakers and grabs you, if that's not being silly. I have to agree with you, she was as good a jazz guitarist as anyone, ever. Very sad she left us too soon, but she also left a lot of good music for which I am grateful. |
