Newbie! Hi from Central Virginia

I've visited here several times and enjoy it thoroughly. Old player, older human, still enthused and learning lots of new stuff every week. Been through bluegrass, country, rock and blues and now want to start a gin-and-tonics-on-the-patio-bossa-nova band, now that I've learned a lot of those crampy and stretchy chords. Bring on some Chill!

Cheers,

Rob

Hi Ben. I've been a member here for a while but have not been very active. I had wonderful intentions when I joined and, as far as I can tell, my intentions have not changed in the wonderful department. Maybe I'm just too busy paving roads to a warmer climate!

My musical experience (and length of time spent gathering it) seems to be quite similar to yours. Seeing as how you've already learned some new chord forms there might be one difference separating us: you are actually learning something while I still cling to my well-worn musical prejudices and harbour dark, rebellious thoughts about those new chord forms!

Best wishes,
Gary

Thanks, guys. As to posting tunes, mississippi, I'm a strummer and bass player (and long ago banjer picker). Nothing to show you all. And rc, I keep it fresh by giving lessons every few years. One of my adages is "Teach to learn".

Cheers, Rob
