| | Common Sense Forum Rules: Please Read!!! Okay, here we go. Nothing too crazy here, just some good ideas I've basically stolen from a few other places (on the web, and my own classroom, actually...)
1. Treat each other with respect and common (or not so common) human decency, no matter how hard they're making it to do so.
2. We are a small, yet global, community. Don't post stuff that might offend cultures, races, genders, etc. "I didn't know" is only an excuse once, and it's a lousy excuse always.
3. If you wouldn't say it to someone in person (or you'd get a knuckle sammie if you did) then you probably shouldn't type it.
4. "Hot topics" get hot replies. Think before you post, and don't get defensive if your post opens a can of worms--you probably knew it was going to before you clicked submit.
That's it. Let's keep this place one of the best little corners of the internet. |

I'm sure you will do a fine job...you have many admirers here.
Just for a bit of comic relief. "Horse Sense" (i.e., Common Sense) is explained as "the sense that horses have that keeps them from betting on people".
Cheers

yorg. | I do blame him for this. Spamming shouldn't be allowed, he was starting way too many threads and had no interest in contributing to the forum other than spreading his own spam. Having less or no Ruben will be for the better.
It is great to have you as a moderator Jeff, you seem like a great guy and you are also a great guitar player. You also seem to have a good view on what's good common sense on a forum like this. |

| | I'd say that I have liked reading mr. beaumont's posts, & that he has always seemed to be a courteous & sensible fellow, but it might seem like I'm sucking up or something.
So I'll just say that I think he might be the greatest guitar player that has ever lived.
Do you have a PayPal account? There might be a little something in it for you if you look the other way concerning some of my posts.

| | Good Luck, hope you don't step on too many toes. I have a personal policy that if I think something may be controversial or inflammatory, I wait overnight before posting, to any group. This is especially true after a couple beers.

| | I hope this doesn't bode ill for the future, just 24 replies into the thread and there's SPAM for a hard rock album, almost makes me miss Negativek.

| | Mr. B, I always look for your contributions. Your posts are always clear, consistent, respectful, and valuable to the many members of the forum. Though we should all be as you, there will always be some who aren't as eloquent or even-tempered at the qwertyboard. Then again, if we were all as appropriate as you, we wouldn't need a moderator, now would we? I look forward to you being the new Sheriff in town. I'm sure you'll do a fine (*colorful adjective self-censored*) job. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
