Greetings All,

I'm a new member and I wanted to say hello. I play chord melody style on Benedetto Bambino and Bravo guitars and work regularly in south central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland. I'm looking forward to participating in discussions in this group.

Hi Gingerjazz,

I'm 59 years old and started playing guitar when I was eight years old. I also played bass for a number of years. I grew up near the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania which years ago was the honeymoon capitol of the world, so there where many resorts to play at. I have been married for 38 years to the girl who sat in front of me in home room in high school, we have three grown boys and one grandchild so far. I still play out about 50 gigs a year. I have a female singer I work with and we play jazz standards, using pre-recorded tracks for bass and drums. The gigs are mainly country clubs, up scale restaurants, and private parties. Here is our promotional website if you want to hear what we sound like: http://www.gigmasters.com/Jazz-Band/Midnite-Samba/. I think I'm going to like being a member here.
