Newbie! newbie in Scotland

Hi there,

I just found this site a few days ago.

I have been playing guitar for just a few years, after starting as an adult. It's been a funny old progression - learning guitar got me interested in blues, which reawakened my interest in piano and made me want to learn jazz. The book I'm learning jazz piano from just now is supposedly suitable for guitar too - but only for people playing at a higher level than me (as I just play from tab). But it did get me thinking about guitar more, so ... here I am!

It's been a useful site so I thought I'd say hello. I have some questions I'll put in the other section.

Welcome aboard ten left thumbs! You will meet some purists, and some not so much here. The key is to have fun.

Hi jazzo and pierre, and thankyou for the welcome. I'll try to avoid phobes and purists.

I posted last night, spent a long time too, asking a question, and found when I hit 'submit' that I had been logged out. Dang! Will try again.
