| | Hello from Indy Hello fellow jazz guitarists! My name is Chase Blackburn, I'm a 20 year old jazz student living in Indianapolis, IN. I found this site today at work, and this is awesome! Finally a place to talk with other like minded guitarist, and swap ideas. |

| | No I'm from ft. Wayne, a few hours north of indy, and I'm actually a graphic design student but I'm studying jazz with Ben Rice, and thats where my actual passion is haha I thought about going to school for jazz, but I would rather work at my own pace and develop my own sound...how is the Chicago jazz scene? |

| | Rough...such a "rock and blues" town. Lots of good players, but a serious lack of jazz-specific places to play-- |

Thanks for checking out the site, though...obviously, still lots of work to be done there... |

| | Hey Chase,
How do you like studying with Ben? I am looking for a teacher in Indy but I would like to hear him/her play before I start taking lessons. Most of the audio of Ben I can find is not jazz, so I can't assess his style or playing. Thanks.

| | Ben is great! A really nice guy, and a really awesome guitar player. I believe he has a masters from IU, so he definetly has the knowledge. Do you live around Indy? | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
