Default Jazz Wanna Be Here

I discovered this website by chance while looking for ideas to play "Killer Joe." I liked what I saw a guest, and decided to register. This is the third day in a row, I am reading up on forum exchanges and learning a lot.

It is good to know there are a lot of newbies out there. And I like the friendly exchanges, so far. It's not only very educational but most civil.

I am a hobbyist who has been at it on the guitar for decades. I am passionate about music, jazz and blues, in particular and rock and roll. Yes, old habits die hard.

I have good ears for music. That is how I started. I have since learned how to read music, just well enough to learn tunes. I know I will never be on the same playing field as most of the members of this website, but I enjoy the music.

One of these days I will be posting my one questions and maybe even offer my two cents on the few things I know. Meanwhile, thanks for the forum.

Welcome jvalencia. Don't worry about your playing level. I've been playing 40 years purely for my own enjoyment and I've enjoyed every year of it. Guitar playing is a good example of the old cliche: it's the journey that matters, not the destination.
