Default Hello jazzers!

I've been reading the forum for a few months and wanted to introduce myself. I'm an American currently living in Germany (the land of Hofners!).

I got hooked on jazz in college, and had the pleasure of playing in the university big band, even writing a few charts (composition was my major). After some years in which other aspects of life took precedence, I'm getting back to playing regularly, building my chops, and even doing some composing.

Since I first dropped in here, its been clear that the "signal to noise ratio" of this forum is quite high compared to some others out there. I'm glad to be in such good company and hope I can contribute.

Hello Cmaj9. Why do those pesky "other aspects of life" always butt in to an otherwise perfect relationship with one's guitar? One of the great mysteries of life.

Banksia

Thanks for the reply. I can't complain about the "other aspects" too much, because the main one was meeting and marrying my wife (with a few steps in between, of course ;>). But I'm glad to be back to a more regular routine now, that leaves me some time for playing and enjoying music.

Thanks for the hello, Kris. I spent a week in Warsaw about 3 years ago. Didn't get to hear any jazz, but did attend a concert of the Warsaw Philharmonic.
