Default What's Good Fellow Musicians

Hello everyone, been playing guitar for about four years but recently have decided to seriously become a jazzer, although I've been into the music for quite a while now. I consider myself a total beginner as far as jazz guitar goes so right now I'm essentially fixing my technique; doing alternate picking, legato, and sweeping exercises no faster than eighth notes at 40 BPM to build up the muscle memory for proper, clean chops. I could list all of my influences, Dolphy, Coltrane, Taylor, McLaughlin... but I don't want to be here for hours compiling a gigantic list.

Anyway looking forward to using these forums and learning from all the experienced musicians here, hope all is well with everyone.

Hello Extrapolation and welcome to the forum. I bought Extrapolation in about 1972 and it is still one of my favourite albums. I realise that JMcL's career took off when he moved to New York but I've often wished he had done a couple more albums with the Extrap lineup.
