| | The Future Of the Quarter Note, And The Future Of Music Now And the future of rhythmic theory, explainable in 15 minutes, the whole of Occidental high music, low street musics, and everything else. Who knows this? Not George Russell. Not Berklee. Nobody in Vienna. Not Gavin MacLeod. (The theory is so easy that it can be explained in 15 minutes and yet I'm the only one who's figured it out.)
Did Coltrane know it? Perhaps, but he took it with him. Does Ornette know it? I believe his version is so twisted up, you will never be able to comprehend the utter simplicity of our adopted rhythmic organizational schema we call 'music'.
Do I know it? Oh, yes.
Is it worth knowing? I could take it to my grave, and I probably will, if no one pays me. Pay me the money or the theory gets it. I've enclosed a photo of me the quarter note holding today's newspaper. If I don't get paid in unmarked bills, the quarter note dies. If I even smell the fuzz, you'll never see the quarter note again.
Ain't giving it away for free, but it is rather inexpensive considering its true worth. Don't believe me? Does not bother me. Anyone addressing any snide remarks will not be read by me following this posting, so why even bother?
Anyone else serious about life, and about deep music can get The Secret of the Quarter Note for 4 easy installments of $19.99. Order in the next 30 minutes and we'll also throw in some Ginsu steak knives, a Popeil Pocket Fisherman, and a life time supply of Turtle Wax.
Peace,
Kevin

| | I'm not sure the 1/4 note has a future. A lot of albums I've heard lately, players are upgrading to eighths and sixteenths. I went to put out my garbage yesterday the dumpster was full of obsolete quarter notes. Being the scavenger that I am, I collected them all and took them home but I don't have enough space to keep them all.
I'm not sure what to do now. |

| | Am I too late? $19.99? Sure, that's great, but how much for shipping and handling? |

| | Jazz is not about rhythm man it’s about pulling cool faces while you play. That’s how the audience knows you’re feeling it. I once played a solo rendition of round midnight without hitting a single note just pulling the hippest faces that I learned from the greats. I left the audience speechless. I am still buying your secret as I could use a pocket fisherman right about now. |
