Hi people,
Time, I think, to re-introduce myself .
David from the UK. The last time I introduced myself (about a year ago) I had a nice welcome, including a particularly heartening comment from, I think Derek, who confirmed that many on here were "geezers" and therefore I shouldn't worry about being of a certain age (nearly put mature there

).
So here I am, one year on. I've done plenty over the last twelve months, but not musically I'm afraid.
My main passion is fly-fishing, and we moved last year to a little spot in Wales which is fly-fishing heaven. I kind of got sidetracked into fishing bamboo rods with silk lines last year too, but thats a whole other story.....
Anyhoo, having finally bought a little amp to go with the Aria 77 jazzbox (carved or pressed top - I don't really care), I feel it is time for me to start applying myself musically. I just spent a couple of hours in the kitchen working though
jazz guitar bass walk: part one, from an old copy of
Just Jazz Guitar. Along with some good coffee it made a perfect morning for me.
When I was at school I wanted to learn clarinet. The first words my old clarinet teacher (man, she was old

) said to me - "we play proper music here, none of that noisy jazz".
I lasted about three months

.
It's great the forum is unchanged since last year. I'm looking forward to contributing quite a bit from now on in.
