Newbie! Hello from Western New York!

Greetings Jazz Guitarists!

My name is Michael and I live in fairly-rural Western New York (about an hour south of Rochester). I'm a mostly acoustic and electric strummer, but I'm developing an interest in some jazz guitar and would like to know more. I'm a longtime member of TDPRI.

Peace!

Michael

Hi, I'm always tying to get a better strum going. Let me ask you, do like to strum with a thin pick? I just discovered, a thin pick can do some classic sounds.

Hey Baltar!

I used to use Medium picks, but lately I've switched to Heavy nylon picks. On my electrics I use 11s and generally 12s on my acoustics, so the extra heft is helping me out.

Good afternoon, Michael...I stroll into TDPRI on occasion (no tele, but a thinline-like Xaviere XV610...). You'll find BigDaddyLH from there here, too; you'll like him, judging from the avatar...
Welcome to the forum, and Happy New Year...
