| | Just sliding around... Hola! from the Tulsa, OK Metro.
I've been reading this forum for quite a while, but have just recently posted for the first time.
I'm actually a trombonist...well...trombone, euphonium & tuba from my days in high school & university (music major -- played in the typical ensembles and several jazz groups). I also sing a bit and enjoy messing around with recording, which I learned to enjoy in college working for an NPR affiliate station.
I'm on this forum because I've picked up the guitar in the last few years and have started applying what I once spent sooo much time on to my new instrument.
At the moment I'm playing for me on either flat-top acoustic, Tele or Strat. Some day...there'll be an HH hollow- or semi- in the stable...when the wife says it's okay. ;-o
Best,
Michael |

| | Thanks for the shout, Derek. I'm actually an Arkie who went to Tulsa U (music) and, almost 20 years later, married an Okie and moved back...
I do remember my trombone / jazz studies prof lecturing on the the migration of jazz musicians from OKC / Tulsa to KC...and a fun trip to the UMKC Jazz Fest back in....1992. (Wow. I feel old!) IIRC, we even ate some BBQ in Bird's old neighborhood.

/jmt | Well, if you sampled both KC jazz and BBQ, then you had the best our fair city has to offer. |

Truthfully... I'll eat almost anything that doesn't eat me first.
