Newbie! Hello!

Hi everyone,

I've been playing guitar for the past four years. About 4 months ago i taught myself the joe pass arrangement of autumn leaves and well, now i'm hooked, wanna learn to play jazz guitar and understand the theory behind the music.

Every search i put into google about jazz guitar seems to lead me to this forum so i figured i just had to sign up.

Big thanks to everyone in advance for the great community you got going here!

Jack

Hi Banksia and Derek,
I live in london, uk, where i'm currently training to be a physics teacher.

Where's the best place to post questions? I was hoping to get some advice on playing 'all the things you are.'

In section A when the key changes to C maj for a 2 5 1, the D minor 7 always sounds akward, and most chord melody arrangements i've seen seem to skip right over it and play the melody on the G7. looking for advice on how others approach this.
