Default Hello from Dallas.

Hi everyone.

I joined quite some time ago but have not had the time to really look around yet.

I wanted to introduce myself and hopefully meet a few of you.

My name is Michael - my own story is at Michael Tillman :: Guitar Player.

Basically, after leaving school 10 years ago I pursued a career as a singer/guitarist in Dallas, TX, focusing primarily on bossa nova, bolero, and other romantic types of Latin American/Spanish songs. I'm now finishing a liberal arts degree at Texas Women's and am planning on pursuing my guitar studies graduate school, or barring that, ethnomusicology.

My own personal tastes gravitate towards Jobim, Ketama, Henri Salvador, Jim Croce, and from a classical perspective Julian Bream and Roland Dyens. Im familiar with the work of Alexandre Vinitsky and am always looking for people willing to record jazz on nylon strings (Gene Bertoncini, for instance.)

I hope you are all well and look forward to meeting you.

-Michael

Welcome Michael.

Welcome to the group Michael. I am in Dallas at least once monthly on biz, with a possible relocation in the next few years. Great city, just don't care for the heat.

Thanks for sayin' hello Derek. Yes, the heat can be a pain, but it's been better the past few years with all the rain. Keep me posted if you're ever here for a gig!
