Newbie! Hi!

I'm a banjoist-classical guitarist-fiddler that wants to start playing jazz guitar...
I'm from Quebec, live in PEI and is moving to Whitehorse...
I have too many favorite musicians to list...
Vive le Jazz!

Fiddler huh? Cool. I've been listening to the Django and Grappelli gypsy jazz stuff recently. Man, I'd love to play the violin like Grappelli. In fact, I'd rather be able to play the violin like Grappelli than the guitar like Django I think. Fortunately, (or unfortunately more likely) neither are within my grasp so there is no dilemma. But the violin is such an incredibly expressive and emotional instrument, either solo or with an ensemble!

I started fiddle just 6 months ago, so I'm not Grappelli yet (probably never...) but at least I'm having fun playing jig and reels. My main instrument is classical guitar and banjo comes next. I've been interested in Jazz for a long time, but never had the time really to get into it (studies, work). But now is the time! I'm really tempted with Berklee online lessons. I need feedback from a teacher when I begin something...
