Newbie! Pleased to meet you

I was thrilled to find this forum, where I can hang with people who love jazz, and love the jazz guitar.

It seems I go a long time between conversations with people who love what I love as well. I hope to find good conversation about the music here.

I almost said "among my peers," but my skill level is too low to make that claim.

I think of myself as a student of the instrument. I am always looking to learn more and understand more about the jazz guitar.

I'm glad to meet you,

Kit

Howdy, I hope you'll post some comments from time to time about your experiences as you learn. I've only been playing the guitar three years myself and been working with jazz for the last few months, so I'm a newbie myself.

But here's the problem I see with this forum. Most of the time, it's all only the extremely experienced veterans and instructors commenting on anything. That's important, especially on highly specific theory/technique type questions, but I'd like to read more comments from others who are learning and growing, making mistakes, and trying to figure things out still.

If you have an opinion, or idea of your own, let's hear it.

Thank you all.

I agree with you, goofsus4. It is difficult for highly experienced people to remember the beginner's mindset. I see this frequently in the computer world I frequent.

I will try to join in from my place as knowledge and experience lite. I hope others will do the same.
