I found the site looking for Cry Me a River. I'm 69 and really a pop guitarist but my favourite Guitarists are
Thumbs Carlile, Johnny Smith, Joe Pass,Martin taylor,Tommy Emmanuel and Albert Lee who I've met on a number of occassions. I worked pro with a Keyboard Player from the North east called Ken Maddison who was an old style "proper" musician. During my 15 years resident with Ken I collected a host of dots across the statdards range. What always amazed me was Ken could read anything and busked a massive number of standards but couldn't hear the changes in a 3 chord rock and roll. Also he couldn't reproduce the intro to Light My fire my Hose feliciano so i could always wind him up by quietly strumming it.
