 i am the lurking sponge just registered. first post. started early with guitar and harmonica; had a busy career that kept me mostly out of music. got back into guitar when i retired. started playing live, trying to learn 'recording' to computer/conversion of files to mp3-after initial shock to system, am taking every 'live jam' chance i can get, as that seems to speed up the learning process. slowly making progress with timing, knowledge, rhythm. play any style of music that takes my ear. recent stuff i've been working on...texas swing, r&b, ballads. joined to see what i could learn from the folks here. may be able to pass on something, but keeping my eyes open for things i can use.     |
