Default Another new member........

Hello all...

This forum looks like it might help me get me more in tune with my playing....thats always a good place to be.

I do play (or try my best anyway) some jazz guitar with a listening interest thats quite a bit more diverse. My younger days were spent playing saxophone but for various reasons put that down for a long stretch, only to attempt a musical comeback on the guitar.

I'd say the guitar is going well after about 8 years.....lots of my previous life as a jazz hornplayer has me comfortable with the language these days.....but I may not have enough time left to become as thoroughly guitaristic I'd like to be. I won't beat myself up about it!

I've been floating around a few years on various guitar forums, mainly posting about my interest in playing , studying and accumulating old acoustic and electric archtop guitars and their close relations.

As far as stuff, I'm enjoying and sometimes obsessing about 30's and wartime acoustic archtops, postwar and a few 50's electric Gibsons and 50's Guilds.

I'll hope to learn from you all and hopefully make some contributions too.

'til later,

z
